The Children of Laos

The Children of
Southeast Asia:
Laos
s
Of all the places we've visited, Laos probably wins the award for Friendliest Country. Despite Laos' poverty and isolation, its people were some of the kindest and most outgoing we've ever met. We'd like to introduce some of them to you.

Above Picture: One day we visited a Lao village along the eastern shore of the Mekong river. A number of kids played along the beach and greeted us, including these girls.

s Luang Prabang

Walking is by far the best way to get around the ancient city of Luang Prabang. And during our strolls we'd often bump into the same kids over and over. Meet some of them here.

s Novice Monks

Say hello to Laos' friendly monks-in-training.

s The Jar Maker's Village

We paid a visit to these kids at a Lao village along the Mekong.

s Patty Cake Kids

Meet two wonderful kids that became our buddies in Luang Prabang.
