RAND's Microworlds

Over the last several years RAND has explored programs called Microworlds, complex educational programs which engage students with inquiry-based learning techniques. Inquiry-based software allows students to explore a given subject for themselves, answering the questions and problems in which they are individually interested. Past Microworld packages, such as Graph Theory, contain user-friendly navigation and formulation tools so students can concentrate on exploring the intricacies of the subject.
