The inner sanctum of the Mamallapuram Shore Temple

Perhaps the most well known site in Mamallapuram is its 7th century Shore Temple. This stone structure is a classic example of Dravidian architecture from the Pallavan empire period. Here I am hanging out inside the temple during a quick break in the morning monsoon rains.
